In 2020, researchers at the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT) began work on a simplified reactor specifically designed for producing low-temperature heat. As work progressed it became clear that the targeted design concept of the LDR-50 had enormous commercial, and environmental potential.

By May 2023, backed by visionary investors, Steady Energy hit the ground running. Founded by the Tommi Nyman, Hannes Haapalahti, and Petteri Tenhunen, the company is now dedicated on transforming the LDR-50’s potential into real-world commercial success and environmental progress.
